As the co-owner, I am proud to be a part of what is now a staple for upscale cakes and desserts in the downtown Hanover community. We happily source our product and ingredients from other locally owned PA companies.
I’ve developed a comprehensive curriculum that results in articulated college credits. I also assist our culinary students in Skills USA, where they compete and earn medals every year.
The Gettysburg & Adams County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Business Excellence Awards, where I was nominated and the recipient of Educator of the Year.
"Chef Schaffner has a phenomenal culinary program at ACTI with students ranging from 9th-12th grade. I have sat on his Occupational Advisory Board for several years and I can speak to the high level of education and training the students receive. This is one of the few schools that HACC has an articulation with in transferring in the hands-on culinary classes. It is a really stellar program! He has served on HACC's advisory board for several years as well. I could continue on, but trust me when I say, he is phenomenal and so dedicated to his students and their education."
